After a film based on Sanjay Dutt’s life, is Ranbir Kapoor preparing for another biopic?

Ranbir Kapoor is busy promoting his upcoming musical-adventure, Jagga Jasoos these days and just yesterday he was spotted coming out of the airport wearing a John Lennon-esque glasses, dressed in blue shirt and torn jeans. But what caught our eye was the book he was holding in his hand. The book is titled, “The Kid Stays In The Picture: A Notorious Life” by veteran Hollywood producer Robert Evans. The book is universally recognized as the greatest, most outrageous, and most unforgettable show business memoir ever written. The basis of an award-winning documentary film, it remains the gold standard of Hollywood storytelling. The book is said to have had a no holds barred approach. Robert Evans has not minced his words while writing this memoir of his.

While the book is a best seller we wonder what caught Ranbir’s eye in this one. Is he planning to star in a Robert Evans biopic, a Hollywood studio chief, who has backed and been involved in films like, The Odd Couple, Rosemary’s Baby, Love Story, The Godfather, and Chinatown etc. Or he is taking a cue out of his memoir while preparing for his role of Sanjay Dutt for his biopic. Or may be he is just interested in the subject as it is said to be an extraordinary raconteur where Evans spares no one, least of all himself. Filled with starring roles for everyone from Ava Gardner to Marlon Brando to Sharon Stone, The Kid Stays in the Picture: A Notorious Life is sharp, witty, and self-aggrandizing, and self-lacerating in equal measure

Well Ranbir knows best what intrigued him into the book, all we can do is assume. However, it’ll be really great for the star if he’ll indeed star in a biopic based on the life of someone like Robert Evans. While he is a successful Hollywood personality, his personal life too is an interesting one, with marrying as many as eight times.
