When Aditya Chopra expressed his happiness on Kangana’s success!

Kangana Ranaut with her perennial witty and no-holds-barred self appeared in a gripping episode of the infamous chat show Koffee With Karan. The 29-year-old was accompanied by her Rangoon co-stars Saif Ali Khan and Shahid Kapoor and was indeed a riot as she got candid during the many interesting rounds on the show.

The lovely actress who got a breakthrough in the industry with Madhur Bhandarkar’s Fashion in 2008 after a bout of unsuccessful movies also talked about how all the criticism that came along her way initially motivated her.

Kangana also narrated an interesting incident that happened a year back. She reminisced about how she was called by director Aditya Chopra to his studio and was appreciated for all the good work she is doing.

She explained, “I remember a year ago Aditya Chopra called me to his studio and we sat across the table and he told me that 10 years back when you came to my office with Rikku Rajesh Nath, I told Rikku ki issladki ka kuch nae hone wala and today I am so glad that I was wrong. I am glad that you have made it and made it on your own.”

To which KJo quipped and confessed that he had similar thoughts. He said, “I thought she (Kangana) was lovely in Gangster. After that there were certain choices that happened which are sometimes destiny, sometimes circumstance related… It was till this time I saw all the amazing work especially in two films (Queen and Tanu Weds Manu).”

Coming back on it Kangana replied that he has been the driving force in her life. She said, “You have been a driving force in my life” and credited her success to all the rejections and mockery she has encountered.
